The health authorities reported 10 813 new corona infections to the RKI within one day.

This slightly decreased the 7-day incidence.

Berlin - The rise in the 7-day incidence in Germany, which has been going on for a good two and a half weeks, did not continue on Tuesday.

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Tuesday morning at 153.7.

The previous day the value was 154.8 (previous week: 113.0).

The reason could be that fewer infections were reported to the RKI because of the holiday.

November 1st as All Saints' Day is a public holiday in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.

In the morning, the RKI only said that individual values would not be commented on.

In the days before that, the incidence had always risen noticeably - but with a more or less constant, but not increasing, dynamic.

The health authorities in Germany reported 10 813 new corona infections to the RKI within one day.

This is evident from the figures that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 5 a.m.

A week ago the value was 10,473 infections.

According to the new information, 81 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 128 deaths. The RKI has counted 4,618,021 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions - was given by the RKI on Tuesday as 3.29 (Monday: 3.46).

With the indicator it must be taken into account that hospital admissions are sometimes reported with delay.

A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.

The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
