The super villain Morbius first appeared in Marvel's Spider-Man comic books.
His powers were given to Dr. Michael Morbius, a Nobel Prize-winning biochemist, when he tried to cure himself of a rare blood disease through experimental treatment with vampires. As a result, he became a living vampire who had superhuman physical strength and needed human blood to survive.
Now the character of Morbius comes to the big screen played by Oscar winner Jared Leto.
The film "Morbius" directed by Daniel Espinosa will hit theaters on January 27.
