An attack with explosives against a Colombian military patrol left at least four people dead and five wounded on Wednesday in the department of Casanare, in eastern Colombia, the Army reported in a statement.

According to the statement, the incident, classified as a "terrorist attack," was perpetrated on a marginal road in the jungle that connects the municipalities of Paz de Ariporo and Hato Corozal.

In the attack, three soldiers and one civilian died, while among the wounded were three soldiers and two civilians, the Army reported.
