An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 was registered Tuesday night to Wednesday in Chile, according to a report from the United States Geological Survey (USGS, for its acronym in English).
The earthquake was located 47 kilometers east northeast of the Andes, with a depth of 110.7 km, according to the report.
The National Emergency Office of the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security of Chile (Onemi) said on Twitter that the earthquake does not meet the necessary conditions to generate a tsunami in things in the country.
