Landsberg - In a Landsberg senior citizens' home, a total of eleven residents and three employees are currently tested positive for the coronavirus using a PCR test.

This is reported by the press spokesman for the Landsberg District Office, Wolfgang Müller.

In the facility, four residents tested positive last Thursday, October 28, through routine corona rapid tests.

The health department and the contact tracing team (CTT) were immediately informed by the home management, so that the Landsberg health department could carry out series tests of the affected living area on the same day.

The results were there on Friday - and confirmed that eight residents and one employee tested positive for the corona virus.

All residents, relatives and employees were informed immediately by the facility management, and protective measures such as a ban on visits, daily quick tests for the entire house and of course the isolation of the persons concerned have also been ordered.

Yesterday, on Tuesday, the health department finally carried out a serial test with 125 tests throughout the house.

The results: eleven residents and three employees are currently tested positive.

Two residents had more severe courses, which is why they had to be admitted to hospital.

"Further series tests adapted to what is happening will follow," reports Müller.

"The cooperation with the facility and especially with the facility management was very good and professional," says Dr.

Manuel Müller-Hahl, head of the Landsberg CT team.

Everything will be done to prevent further spread.
