The collective art exhibition hosted by the Exhibition Hall of Dar Al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia under the title (Artistic Icons) put the audience and fans of plastic art in front of different, varied and rich artistic experiences of veteran and young artists.

Twenty-seven artists from Damascus and Lattakia presented about forty artworks of different styles, themes, size, art schools and techniques used, and they reflected the differentiation in experiences and expertise in oil, acrylic and charcoal colors, in addition to the sculptural works that also came in a variety of materials and subjects.

The Director of Latakia Culture Majd Sarem said in a statement to SANA reporter that the exhibition comes within the framework of the directorate’s keenness on the periodic and continuous organization of forums and art exhibitions, which allows attracting different and renewed groups each time from artistic experiences from inside and outside the governorate in order to create an opportunity for art lovers and connoisseurs to learn about the experiences of art. Variety contribute to raising the level of artistic and visual taste.

The plastic artist Fatima Saei, who is supervising the organization of the exhibition and participating in two works about the female belonging to the Abstract Expressionist School, noted the importance of the exhibition, which attracts the works of six artists from Damascus in addition to 21 artists from Lattakia, with more than one work that provided a rich artistic, visual and aesthetic case for the exhibition and its audience.

The plastic artist, Muhammad al-Ruqoui, participating in three works belonging to previous experiences, expressed his happiness to participate in the exhibition alongside the artists of Lattakia, who present different experiences and various techniques, wishing that there would be permanent meetings with artists so that there would be knowledge of all experiences and from different governorates.

Plastic artist Boulos Sarko, who is participating in the exhibition, through two artworks depicting a beautiful dialogue and a section of a mountainous rural village, embody, according to what he explains, his Al-Ghunaimiya village located in the northern countryside of Lattakia, considering that the exhibition reflects the important experiences and visions of the fine movement.

The plastic artist, Moataz Al-Omari, who comes from Damascus, saw that the collective exhibitions open a window for the artist to see the works of his colleagues, which enriches the artist and enriches his upcoming experiences, indicating that his participation in the exhibition came through two acrylic works, one of which dealt with the human issue in terms of intellectual and life and the Syrian suffering in terms of the components of war, while The second work depicts the human relationship with the letter and its intellectual and philosophical implications, while leaving the recipient free to read the painting as he likes.

The plastic artist Hussein Saqour, one of the exhibition's supervisors and the participant with two works about the female, which he presented in an abstract expressionist style, said that the exhibition is comprehensive and includes a set of experiences by veteran artists and ambitious young experiences, and includes different schools presented with a beautiful artistic direction.
