Finance Minister Monika Heinold (62) and State Parliament Vice President Aminata Touré (28) are to lead the Greens as a top duo in the state election in Schleswig-Holstein in 2022.
"We see politics as a team task," said state chairman Steffen Regis on Wednesday in Kiel.
Heinold is the most suitable Prime Minister for the upcoming legislature.
Kiel - Previously, the party leadership had proposed the dual leadership.
The Greens want to vote for their state list at a party congress from December 10th to 12th in Neumünster.
The Greens have been ruling in the north since 2017 in a Jamaica alliance under Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) with the Union and FDP.
