An investigation was opened by the Lyon prosecutor's office on Monday, November 1 and entrusted to the Rhône departmental public security directorate (DDSP) after a man tried to end a bus on Sunday at the end of the afternoon in Vaulx-en-Velin, we learned from the prosecution on Tuesday.

The facts happened around 6:30 p.m. at Mas du Taureau, a district located in the north-west of the city.
A man took advantage of the bus stop at a station to throw a burning piece of cardboard inside it even though passengers were on board.
The driver reacted instantly and avoided the tragedy.
This did not prevent the arsonist from repeating his gesture before being finally caught by several individuals and beaten up.

Apart from the arsonist, no one was injured.
At this stage no arrest has taken place but

And to indicate that he had not received any element allowing to affirm that the defendant would have shouted "Allah Akbar", as affirmed several people on the social networks.
