Professional boxer Simon Zachenhuber gets back into the ring - and fights against a German for the first time.

Travel - Simon Zachenhuber's anticipation can be clearly seen.

"It will be a super cool event, with a great atmosphere and hopefully a lot of fans from Erding," enthuses the 23-year-old before his next appearance.

Next Saturday, the professional boxer from Reisen will enter the ring in Wangen and will compete there against his fellow countryman Dustin Amman.

A special bus runs from Erding to the Allgäu - there are still a few places available.

Eight fights are on the program from 6 p.m. at the event in the Wangen Argensporthalle, including three main fights, "and all three boxers are trained by Conny Mittermeier," says Zachenhuber.

In addition to the traveler, who competes in the middleweight up to 72.5 kilos, the Altin Zogaj are in the light heavyweight and local hero Timo Schwarzkopf in the super lightweight.

Coach Mittermeier recently celebrated his 60th birthday - “actually,” explains Zachenhuber with a laugh: “In reality, he turned 50 for the tenth time.” But regardless of the festivities, the ambitious coach has his protégés - as always - conscientiously on theirs Prepared for fights.

And so Zachenhuber emphasizes: "I'm in top shape."

While the traveler has already contested 13 professional fights and won all of them, his opponent Amman has only completed ten fights and won seven of them. "It's my first German-German duel," says Zachenhuber. He has respect for his opponent, "because he last fought for the Junior World Championship and only just lost on points."

The 23-year-old is particularly pleased that “the hall will be well used in terms of spectators”, after only a few visitors were recently allowed into the halls due to corona. And so Zachenhuber, in cooperation with the Kickboxing Club (KBV) Erding, came up with something special for the local fans. On Saturday, November 6th, a fan bus will start at 3.15 p.m. from the swimming pool parking lot in Erding in the direction of Wangen. "The bus ride is free, tickets are available from 30 euros," announced Zachenhuber. There are still some places available on the bus, registrations can be made by the KBV on Tel. (0 81 22) 8 45 21. Tickets can also be ordered there or booked online directly from the organizer.

"I would be very happy if we got the bus full and as many Erdinger as possible were in the hall and created a good atmosphere," says the 23-year-old traveler.

And that he then naturally wants to offer his supporters a strong fight - in addition to victory - that is a matter of course for him.
