Housing Authority documents show that after the demolition of the Wang Cheong Factory Building, it will be converted into two residential buildings. The plot ratio for the residential part is 7.5 times, the total plot ratio is up to 9 times, and the height of the building is no higher than 152 meters above the main level benchmark. With a total floor area of ​​72,000 square meters, it will provide approximately 1,200 units and is expected to accommodate approximately 3,240 people.

There will be retail shops on the ground floor of the building close to Lai Chi Kok Road, and two floors of the two buildings will be equipped with social welfare facilities or offices. The government land on the street is rezoned from the "Open Space" zone to "Residential".

As for the URA’s Cheong Wah Street/Cheung Sha Wan Road development project, the Planning Department proposes to rezone a part of the existing Sham Shui Po Sports Ground to "Open Space" and Cheung Sha Wan Road to be rezoned as a "road", and Rezoning two small plots of land on Cheung Sha Wan Drive to "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Business" zone.

The Housing Authority will rebuild the Yeon Industrial Building in Kowloon Bay in 2023 and provide 2200 units for public housing conversion.
