Past experience shows that these procedures take several weeks, so it is estimated that Nadez will take up his position towards the beginning of 2022.
One of the first issues Naydes will be required to address will be finding a compromise with Israel on the issue of the Palestinian consulate that the administration seeks to open.
It will also play a key role in Israeli-US talks on the Iranian nuclear issue, following the resumption of talks on the nuclear deal, which is expected at the end of November.
To date, Tom Nides has served as vice president of the Morgan Stanley Corporation for a number of years, and from 2011 to 2013 as U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources. Gary Ginsburg, a senior executive at Time Warner and a member of the Genesis Advisory Board, also joined in on compliments about his friend Nides.
