The Holzkirchen firefighter Andreas Schwabenbauer has now been awarded the Steckkreuz for his services to the fire department.
Holzkirchen - Andreas Schwabenbauer from Holzkirchen has received a great, well-deserved honor.
At a ceremony in Dachau Castle, Vice President Sabine Kahle-Sander awarded him the plug-in cross for his services to the fire brigade.
35 years of special commitment to the volunteer fire brigade
Schwabenbauer joined the Föching volunteer fire brigade 35 years ago and has since been involved in a variety of ways and has proven himself in demanding tasks.
From 2005 to 2010 he was second in command of the Holzkirchen volunteer fire brigade.
He then held the office of district fire supervisor in inspection area 2 Nordlandkreis until 2013 and has been district fire inspector since 2013.
As such, he has excelled in many missions, especially in serious traffic accidents on the A8 motorway and incidents involving hazardous substances.
In addition, as the local operations manager during the snow disaster in January 2019, he made a significant contribution to the successful course of the mission.

District Administrator Olaf von Löwis, who was present at the award ceremony, was delighted with the award of the active fire fighter from Holzkirchen.
"I am proud that we have such committed and energetic citizens in the district who look after the well-being of the district," said Löwis.
