Germering - Not just a specialty in Germering, but in all of Upper Bavaria, the AWO local association opened in September: a mini-daycare center.
In addition to the Villa Bambini crèche, the non-profit association now also offers four-day care for children aged 20 months and over.
The AWOlinis mini-daycare center is located in the center of Planegger Straße 9.
In the morning, twelve toddlers per group play, sing and romp around together with the educational staff, celebrate the festivities of the annual cycle and slowly get to grips with the community in communal facilities.
The concept of the mini-daycare is so far unique in Upper Bavaria.
The state association of the AWO proudly reports that further facilities of this type are already being planned and will soon be able to open.
Sandra Horstmann, head of the AWOlinis mini-daycare center, is pleased that the groups are already fully booked at the start in September. “Families are dependent on childcare places. The fact that we only look after the toddlers full-time until lunchtime instead of other facilities is sufficient for many parents. Anyone who works part-time in the vicinity or can count on the support of the family is very satisfied with the part-time place. In this way, the little ones learn to find their way into the community without having to do without the known caregivers for a whole day. "
Saskia Schon, one of the two managing directors of the association, hopes that friendships will develop well into school age at the AWOlinis as well as at Villa Bambini and the open groups in the family café.
She herself is the mother of five children and would have found the offer of a mini-daycare center for her own children “great”.
