Workers at the Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun hotel in Mexico asked guests to seek shelter, amid reports that armed men entered the hotel.
This is a popular spot with American tourists.
The Secretariat of Public Security of Quintana Roo reported that they received reports of an "irregular activity that arose in the vicinity of a hotel" in the municipality of Puerto Morelos.
And he added that "the Quintana Roo Police have already verified what happened."
