However, there will be services: on Saturday in front of the Kalvarienberg church in Bad Tölz, on Sunday in the basilica in Benediktbeuern.
This service is broadcast via loudspeaker in the courtyard of the monastery.
The day of remembrance for St. Leonhard is on November 6th, this year on a Saturday.
The pilgrimage in Bad Tölz would have taken place on Friday due to the rule not to organize the trip on Saturdays.
In earlier years there were always excesses of parties on Saturdays.
There are already places in Bad Tölz that advertise the Leonhardi atmosphere on social media on Saturday, sometimes even without reference to the 3G rule.

"November 6th is a magical date for the city," says Andreas Rohrhofer, Deputy Police Chief of Tölz.
It can be assumed that not only believers come to pray, but also people “who feel the desire to celebrate”.
The Tölz officials will be supported by other colleagues on Saturday "to keep an eye on the situation," says Rohrhofer.
“It's not about people not going to bars.
Rather, it is about adhering to the infection control rules. ”The same thing happens on Sunday in Benediktbeuern.

The mayors of the two places appeal to the common sense of all visitors: keeping your distance, thinking about your own health and that of others, is very important now, say both Ingo Mehner (Tölz) and Toni Ortlieb (Benediktbeuern).
Mehner says he is happy that the catering is allowed to be open.
"But the hosts now also play a central role."

In Benediktbeuern, two large restaurants are currently closed due to company holidays. Ortlieb expects a few outside visitors to the church service on Sunday, despite the large construction site in the monastery courtyard due to the renovation work in the southern arcade wing. Saint Leonhard is not only venerated as the patron saint of horses, but he is also called upon in the event of illness. "I understand the need to pray to him, especially in times like these."
However, he finds it difficult, says Ortlieb, that politicians have recently relaxed more and more corona rules and ultimately shift responsibility at events like this to volunteers who have to take care of compliance.
“But they can't do that.
And that causes a lot of frustration. ”With a view to the increasing corona numbers, Ortlieb assumes that there will be talk of the Christmas markets again.
