Leiden / Munich - Fans of the Dutch pop star Jan Smit probably experienced a shock on Monday: The singer, who is also a member of the pop band Klubbb3, spoke up from a hospital via Instagram.

Due to an eye disease, the pop singer and presenter had to undergo an operation.
As he explained to his fans in the video, his eye muscles have "contracted both horizontally and vertically".
The operation was intended to correct double vision.
These have recently gotten worse and have caused a lot of headaches and fatigue, said Jan Smith on Monday morning.
His fans were certainly worried.
But Smit kept her up to date via Instagram.

In a blue hospital gown and apparently sitting in a hospital bed, Florian Silbereisen's good friend gave the all-clear after the operation. "Operation successful! I can't see much and blurred at the moment, but everything will be fine again, ”he let his followers know. Smit laughed again in the video, but the effects of the eye surgery were still clearly visible. With bloodshot and apparently still slightly puffy eyes, he looked into the camera. Before the operation, he had announced: "It could be that I have red eyes for a very long time." On Tuesday, however, according to an Instagram story, the pop star was apparently back home with his family.
Meanwhile, a number of fans left him wishes for wellbeing on the social media platform.
An early comeback of the band Klubbb3, which many fans are hoping for, should be a long way off so soon after the operation.
Since 2019 nothing has been heard from the successful Schlager trio around Jan Smit, Florian Silbereisen and Christoff De Bolle.
