In Thuringia, the corona situation worsened on Thursday. The seven-day incidence climbed to 357.4 - nationwide that is still the highest value. At the same time, almost all districts slipped into the highest warning level three of the Thuringian early warning system. By the weekend, the remaining municipalities should also move up to the level. Nationwide, 14.2 percent of operable intensive care beds are now occupied by Covid 19 patients.
The worsening situation also made itself felt in the hospitals and nursing homes.
Visits are currently prohibited in several Thuringian clinics.
Also in a number of nursing homes no visitors are currently allowed.
According to data from the state administration office, more than one in five of the 339 old people's homes in the country was affected by corona outbreaks on Thursday.
