According to the experts, the anti-corona pill, also called molnupavir, should be taken if possible after a positive corona test, but no later than five days after the appearance of the first corona symptoms *.

As the manufacturing companies announced, a study shows that the drug can avoid the risk of hospitalization if molnupavir is taken in the early stages of an infection.

Accordingly, the anti-corona pill was tested on 775 people in the study. In contrast to the comparison group, the corona risk in people who received the pill has decreased by 50 percent. However, according to the report, Merck also announced that eight people who received the placebo eventually died. So far, treatment has been provided for monupavir to be taken over a period of five days. The procedure includes four anti-corona pills twice a day.

But not only US companies Merck and Ridgeback Therapeutics have developed an anti-corona pill.

The company Pfizer, which developed a corona vaccine with the company Biontech *, is also in the middle of developing such a drug.

The aim of treatment is to prevent a severe course of Covid-19.
