• In rowing swimming there is no load on the joints. Unlike wheelbarrows or walking, where there is a very high load on the joints, the body weight in water is about 10% of its weight on land so there is no load on the joints at all. Therefore the number of swimming injuries is significantly lower compared to any other sport.
