Missen-Wilhams - The hay milk specialties from Allgäuer Hof-Milch GmbH are now also available in the markets of Feneberg and Kaufmarkt.
"With the hay milk products from Allgäuer Hof-Milch, we offer our customers high-quality, regional products and support our Allgäu agriculture and the regional added value that is very important to us," explains Managing Director Hannes Feneberg, adding: "Who knows, where a product comes from can rely on its quality.
That is why we have always maintained close relationships with producers and suppliers. "
"Our farmers work hard every day to ensure that their cows provide such a valuable raw material, which we then process into our high-quality milk and cheese specialties," explains Kuno Linder, Managing Director of Allgäuer Hof-Milch.
"So we are of course very pleased that our hay milk products are now also available in the Feneberg stores," said Linder.
Dairy farming in the Allgäu
The city of Sonthofen also sees the regional cooperation as positive.
“Strong regional partnerships, especially between producers and retailers, are of crucial importance for Sonthofen and our region.
This is the only way we can preserve traditions and secure the dairy industry in the Allgäu.
We have the best groceries right there, they don't have to be driven many kilometers across the country before they are on the shelves.
An absolute added value for everyone - for the trade, for the production companies, for the producers and of course also for the customers who can buy the locally produced products and thus also ensure the dairy industry in the Allgäu, "said Sonthofen Mayor Christian Wilhelm at the Heumilch- Tasting in the supermarket in Sonthofen.
Haymaking is the most natural form
What is special about hay milk?
The hay industry is the most original and natural form of animal feeding and milk production.
In the Alpine region, this economy has a centuries-old tradition and is at the same time the origin of the Allgäu cultural landscape.
“Allgäu hay milk is therefore a particularly high-quality milk.
The reason for this lies in the feeding of the dairy cows.
In summer the animals eat grass and countless fresh herbs on the Allgäu meadows and mountain pastures.
In winter they are fed with hay and meal.
The dairy cows do not get to eat silage, i.e. fermented grass or fermented maize.
In addition, the hay milk is absolutely GMO-free, ”explains hay milk ambassador Sabine Fischer.
