A 47-year-old woman was seriously burned Thursday, November 4 in Gennevilliers (Hauts-de-Seine) in the fire caused by a battery of electric scooter being charged, AFP learned from the police.

At around 7:00 a.m. Thursday, the battery exploded in an apartment on the 2nd floor of a small building in this western suburb of Paris, blowing the bay window and immediately starting a fire, police said.
A woman, burned to the 2nd degree before being taken out of the apartment by her husband, was taken care of by the Samu and then hospitalized in the major burns department of the Percy military hospital, in Clamart.
The fire, extinguished by firefighters around 8:30 am, after having completely charred the apartment, did not cause another victim.
