(ANSA) - PERUGIA, 04 NOV - "I think there is all the evidence and all the elements to understand what happened that night and they all lead to Rudy Guede. There is no evidence that connects us to that murder. to which there is still the feeling that this whole story is not completely closed ": Amanda Knox is back to talk about the murder of Meredith Kercher. He did so in an interview with the Hyenas (broadcast on Friday evening on Italia1) who released an anticipation of it.
Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were accused of the crime of the English student, committed in Perugia 14 years ago, and then definitively acquitted. After having served 13 of the 16 years in prison to which he was sentenced in Guede, he was instead granted assignment to social services.
"In four years in prison - said Knox - I saw the Italian media portray me as the ugliest person, they didn't know me, they didn't speak to me. They invented the most brutal person in the world. The image of me was of a liar, racist, obsessed with sex, who wanted to hurt people.
All the worst that can be said about a woman was reported to me. Raffaele and I were painted the way the prosecution wanted to paint us, so as to convince people of our guilt. It is difficult to go through life when you are connected to such a tragic and horrendous story as murder, when it has nothing to do with it. It stays on, as it remained on Raffaele ".
"After the harm that was done to me,after the mistakes that have been made in this case, the injustice remains.
The acquittal takes a back seat, we don't talk about it much anymore and they treat me like a person who got away with it "said Sollecito, who was also interviewed by the hyenas.
