A motorcyclist was arrested and taken into custody after deliberately hitting a police officer on Thursday in Firminy (Loire) to escape control, seriously injuring his leg, we learned from a police source.
The police officer, a motorcyclist from the CRS 46 of Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon (Rhône), was struck at high speed while securing the area around the Firminy market at midday.
He lost consciousness for several minutes.
Seriously injured in a leg, he was hospitalized at the CHU of Saint-Étienne, but his vital prognosis is not engaged, the same source specifies.

The driver of the trial bike who ran over him lost control of his vehicle a few tens of meters after the impact, ending his race against a car.
He and his passenger subsequently fled on foot, both without helmets, leaving the two-wheeler and a bag containing cannabis in place.
