Conference League, home stage: Maccabi Haifa reached the away game against Slavia Prague with an army of 3,000 green fans, but one goal by Jan Kocheta in the 49th minute made the difference • The Greens dropped to last place at home, but still a reasonable distance from second place at home Thursday • 1: 2 to Feyenoord over Union Berlin

Maccabi Haifa lost tonight (Thursday) 1: 0 to Slavia Prague in the fourth round of the home leg of the Conference League.

An army of 3,000 green fans in the stands did not help in front of a lone goal by Jan Kocheta in the 49th minute.

The Greens, who in the last round defeated the same Slavia Prague 0: 1 in Sami Ofer, came to the Czech Republic with a lot of hopes to continue the momentum.

At some minutes in the second half they are really close to equal today, but unfortunately the finishing leg of Noble Omar did not work this time.

Barak Bachar had to make do without the injured Bogdan Planic, and came up with a set of three brakes, with Rami Gershon, Sean Goldberg and Jose Rodriguez.

The credit in the attack was given to Dean David and Ben Shehar, but they did not return the goals.

Following the loss, Maccabi Haifa remains in third place in the House of Lords table, but is still only two points away from second place leading to the playoffs advancing to the quarterfinals.

In first place at home is Feyenoord, who defeated the last Union Berlin 1: 2.
