The Israel Police notes with satisfaction the end of a week full of seizures of illegal weapons and ammunition, which were in the possession of criminals from criminal organizations in the Arab sector as part of Operation Safe Track.
These are 29 weapons seized in recent days, and according to a senior official in the Division for the Prevention of Serious Crime in the Arab Sector of the Israel Police, "any such weapon seized is in fact a thwarting of the next murder incident." The determined activity of the police in the fight against crime in Arab society will continue in all districts.
Meanwhile, the detention of Suheib Jabrin, 40, of Umm al-Fahm, and three of his associates suspected of extortion and conspiracy to commit a crime was extended for a week.
These are significant police intelligence targets, and as part of the "safe route" operational activity that led to their arrest, 66 more suspects have been arrested in recent days, all from the Arab sector.
Dozens of stolen weapons and ammunition were also seized from the suspects.
