Within the framework of the National Environment Day activities, Lattakia City Council, in cooperation with the Environment Directorate and voluntary and civil associations, rehabilitated Ain Umm Ibrahim Park, pruned and pruned trees, planted new bushes, maintained lighting, installed and painted seats, and verified the safety and security of children’s toys.
Eng. Akram Shalhoub, head of the Parks Department in the city council, considered in a statement to SANA reporter that participation in the activities of the National Environment Day is a message of the importance of preserving the environment and trees, and the participation of society in bearing this responsibility.
In turn, Eng. Thaer Jaafar, Director of Services and Maintenance in Lattakia City Council, explained that the park is divided into three sections, and the campaign is today, with the participation of elements from the City Council, to rehabilitate and clean it with the participation of children to familiarize them with the method and importance of planting trees and ways to take care of them.
