A detainee was found hanged in his cell at Rennes-Vézin-le-Coquet prison, the second suicide in three days in this establishment, AFP learned Thursday, November 4 from the prison administration.

The 53-year-old inmate hanged himself overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.
This suicide comes a few days after that of the main suspect in the murder of Magali Blandin, her husband Jérôme Gaillard, in the night from Sunday to Monday in this same establishment.
Jérôme Gaillard, who had admitted having killed his wife, was found hanged in a cell located in the wing reserved for vulnerable detainees.
