But even in old age she doesn't want to take her hands off the wheel.

Just two weeks after her brief stay in hospital, Elizabeth II was photographed on Monday behind the wheel of a car on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

In the photos published by the British media, the 95-year-old can be seen alone in a green jaguar.

She wears sunglasses and a headscarf.

According to Buckingham Palace, the British Queen went to a private hospital in London on October 20 for "precautionary examinations".

She spent a night there.

This and a two-week break announced at the end of October had raised concerns about her health around the world.

The British Queen also canceled her participation in the World Climate Conference in Glasgow, Scotland.

Queen Elizabeth II is actually known for her robust health.

Even after the death of her husband Prince Philip in April, she hadn't stepped down.

Recently, however, the Queen was seen with a stick for the first time in years.

The 95-year-old is also said to have given up her beloved equestrian sport.
