In the video: Special forces with weapons drawn: Exceptional thwarting of an armed robbery in Haifa (Walla system!)

With drawn weapons, tactical clothing and protection, helmets with cameras - undercover units of the 33 "Gideons" unit of the police together with 433 detectives and undercover police thwarted an armed robbery today (Thursday) just before it was suspected to take place in Haifa.

Everything in front of neighbors and passers-by is curious, and even terrifying.

During the arrest, the suspects were handcuffed and their eyes were covered with flannel.

It will be recalled that such an armed robbery occurred last week in Atlit, near the local school, following which students there needed psychiatric assistance after watching it closely.

According to what is known, a father and son from 600,000 shekels were robbed there.

This incident was also investigated.

Police said the arrest was part of a "safe route" operation and the national fight to deal with crime in Arab society, online criminal offenses in the field of digital currencies and an undercover investigation by the Lahav 433 cyber unit into robbery incidents carried out as part of alleged cryptocurrency transactions.

According to the suspicion, the three suspects used to contact potential buyers of digital currencies via social networks, offering an exchange rate lower than the market price and enticing them to meet physically, in order to receive the cash and in exchange transfer the so-called digital coins to the buyers.

From the accumulated investigation materials, it appears that the suspects, who met with the buyers, committed a violent robbery against them using gun threats and robbed the cash without transferring the digital coins as promised in the transaction.

The investigation is being conducted by the Israel Police and accompanied by the Cyber Department of the State Attorney's Office.

The three suspects were taken for questioning in the cyber unit at Lahav 433 on suspicion of armed robbery in aggravated circumstances, during the day and as required, they will be brought to the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court for an extended detention hearing.

"The 9-year-olds who were playing in the playground ran home scared when they saw this happening in front of their eyes," neighbors said. "They said soldiers were running after someone and shouting at him. The cops continued to scan. It was horrible. The children were afraid to come down later. We were not explained anything. They asked us to go home. We thought it was a security incident because we saw a covered face, we saw a green uniform, there was a van without windows. They told us to go, give us privacy "Keep the people away and keep working on what vehicle they caught at the beginning of the street."
