It is clear who will be allowed to design the first areas.

The only thing missing is money.

Schongau

- The Alley Beautification team has four members: Schongau's Deputy Mayor Daniela Puzzovio, City Councilors Janaina Subiabre Haseitl and Thomas Schleich as well as Patricia Erhard.

You had called for a competition for a street art project.

It's about making the alleys in the old town of Schongau a little more colorful and inviting.

The first artists were selected

While further walls and columns are to be searched for in the old town, things have now become quite specific for Löwenhof-Gasse.

The jury selected the best from many submissions and suggestions.

The winners were Olga Knor (Schongau), Beatrice Amberg (Schongau), Vincent alias Erwa One (Landsberg), Maximilian Welz alias LouZeh (Augsburg), Benjamin Oberhofer (Schwabsoien), Bertram Maria Keller (Marktoberdorf), Sabine Kalbitzer alias ninischee (Schongau) .

The jury didn't make it easy for itself

The jury did not make it easy for itself: "We tried to find something for everyone as much as possible, and it should somehow fit together," reports Janaina Subiabre Haseitl.

All pictures could be seen in a small exhibition.

Young and old were represented as visitors in the Huber rooms and gave their votes and opinions.

“That helped a lot in the jury's decision - also that two owners of the space, Anne Heldwein and Andreas Huber, were also at the table,” said Subiabre Haseitl.

The implementation should take place as soon as possible

The implementation should take place as soon as possible - depending on the weather. “We are really excited to see what it will look like on the wall!” The street art project for the design of the windows, columns and walls between Christophstraße and Marienplatz has been slowed down a bit by the financial background. On the one hand, the artists should receive a small remuneration for their effort, on the other hand there are also material costs. In order to protect the panes, for example, primed foils are applied to which the works of art are then transferred. The alley beautification team reckons with costs of around 3800 euros plus material costs for the artists. So far, only 823 euros have been received in donations. "We hope that some of them will still agree to help finance this project," said Subiabre Haseitl.

Info:

Donations can be made for the project through the association "Schongau animated", subject: "Gassenbeschönerung Schongau", VR Bank Augsburg-Ostallgäu EG (IBAN: DE03720900000001256556 BIC: GENODEF1AUB)

The first pedestrian underpass in Schongau, which was designed by young people as part of the Schongau Culture Week, has already become quite colorful
