The Pentagon announced today that the US State Department has approved a deal to sell missiles to the Saudi regime, with a value of up to $650 million.
"The US State Department has approved a possible sale of 280 AAM 120C (air-to-air) missiles to Saudi Arabia, worth up to $650 million," a Pentagon statement said, according to Reuters.
The new deal comes during the era of President Joe Biden, after former US President Donald Trump, who described the Saudi regime as a “milking cow that yields gold and dollars,” signed during his visit to Riyadh in 2017, arms sales deals to this regime, valued at about $460 billion.
International human rights organizations criticize that many countries, including the United States and France, continue to supply weapons to the Saudi regime, which has been leading an aggression on Yemen since 2015, committing countless massacres against civilians, especially children and women, in its daily raids, bombing populated areas, and using the suffocating siege as a means of pressure.
