The dance series at the Israeli Opera will open at the end of the month with a performance by the Czech National Ballet Ensemble in tribute to Czech-born choreographer Jerzy Killian, who marks 50 years of work.
The show "Bridges for Time" will be performed at the Tel Aviv Opera House from November 25 to 27 and will include four works by Killian: "Beautiful Figure", "Gods and Dogs", "Tiny Death" and "Six Dances".
Killian began his career in the Czech National Ballet.
In 1968 he fled Prague when the Soviet tanks entered the city and moved to London.
He later served as a soloist in the Stuttgart Ballet and as artistic director of the Dutch Dance Theater.
