"Simply a beautiful construction site"

Bettina Wagner has already popped in curiously at Landsberger Strasse 17. Not only the director of the St. Johannes Catholic Kindergarten in Inning can hardly wait to move into the partially new building in September next year - Dean Simon Rapp and Mayor Walter Bleimaier are also happy when this construction story finally comes to a happy ending. This is exactly what it looks like: they were all able to celebrate the topping-out ceremony this week.

Inning

- For a long time those involved did not feel like celebrating. As reported, there was not just a few uncertainties and delays in the seven-year history - whether it was finances, support or interim placement of the children. The former church caretaker Franz Meier can only remember it too well. He made his office available three years ago. “I still opened the container company,” he remembers. Then, as a member of the parish council, Bastian Romacker took over the children's home and Franz Bauer took over the finances. At the topping-out ceremony, special thanks went to them from the leading pastor of the Ammersee-Ost parish community, Dean Simon Rapp. The Meier children's home remains an affair of the heart, which is why it was not to be missed at the topping-out ceremony.

Architect Thomas Dahmen, who designed the new facility together with Meier, has a similar story. “I live just around the corner,” he says. He and his team are said to be on the construction site before the craftsmen get there in the morning. After so many delays, he is now really enjoying the construction. “I like wooden buildings,” says Dahmen, “it's just a beautiful construction site.” The old saddle roof construction blocked the view. When the new children's house is finished - only the last attached crib remained - the neighbors on the left and right could look each other in the eye, "at least on a blooming green roof".

Dahmen is also happy about the light-flooded rooms that will be there. “The light used to be on all day. Now everything is getting light. ”The kindergarten management is also looking forward to this, although they have settled in quite well in the containers at Wasenfeld. The new building will, however, represent a further significant improvement. Even if it is a little more expensive than planned. The mayor drew attention to this at the topping-out ceremony. The project was estimated at 2.5 million euros, the lion's share is borne by the municipality, including a subsidy from the Free State.

"Which construction site is currently not experiencing any cost increases?" Asks Dahmen, referring to delivery problems - especially for a house made of wood.

On the other hand, according to the architect, everything is going very well, “when things got tight, there were alternatives”.

Only the window profiles are not there yet.

That's why the openings are currently covered with foil so that things can go ahead inside.

The youth house, the basement that remained from the old building, was dry again. As reported, water had entered after the demolition.

The residual moisture is now removed with dryers.
