The ten defendants are: Liu Weiying (19 years old), Guo Jiahui (22 years old), Zhang Wenjun, Liang Zhuohua (20 years old), Huang Yiwei (20 years old), Liang Junwei (26 years old), Wu Shaoqin (28 years old), Wei Tingting (26 years old) ), Zhuo Lixin (24 years old), Pan Huiwen (42 years old).
They were charged with a crime of rioting, alleging that they participated in a riot on Nathan Road between Austin Road and Humphreys Road in Tsim Sha Tsui on August 11, 2019.

The police then raised a black flag outside the Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station to warn, but the demonstrators did not leave. They even blocked the entrance and exit of the police station with debris and threw hard objects at the police station. The police finally launched a dispersal operation after repeated warnings were invalidated. All 10 defendants were arrested in the riot area wearing black clothes and equipped with protective equipment.
The prosecution said that during the period, the police issued several warnings that if the defendants were not involved in the riots, they would have had enough time to leave, but they stayed until they were arrested.
