A Florida nurse, who was eight months pregnant, said she was treating her patient when another man entered the room and pushed her against the wall, resulting in the death of her son.
The alleged attack occurred Saturday night in the behavior unit at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital.
The nurse assured Longwood police officers that she was administering medication to a patient when the woman began to scream.
Another patient, identified as Joseph Wuerz, suddenly entered the room, pushed the nurse against a wall and attempted to kick her, according to an arrest report.

The kicks did not hit her and Wuerz said nothing during the attack
, the nurse told officers.
Several staff members and security agents had to carry Wuerz out of the room.

The nurse said she was "terrified and shocked, and was not sure whether she or the unborn child had been injured," according to the arrest report.
She later went to another hospital to get checked out because she was worried about her baby.
It was there that he was told that doctors could not find the heartbeat and that his son had died, according to the report.

The nurse told officers that doctors would have to induce labor.
She said she believed that "the stress she was subjected to during the attack could have caused the death of her unborn child," noting that neither she nor the baby had any prior medical problems, police wrote in the report.

A spokesman for the Orlando Health South Seminole hospital said they are aware of the incident and are cooperating with the police investigation.
Wuerz, 53, of Casselberry, was released from the hospital and taken to jail on charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, aggravated battery of a medical worker and murder of an unborn child.
He is being held on bail totaling $ 90,000.
A lawyer for Wuerz did not respond to a request for comment made Thursday by NBC News, the sister network of Noticias Telemundo.
