In a statement to SANA’s representative, the Director General of the General Sugar Corporation, Engineer Saad Al-Din Al-Ali, confirmed that the aim of amending the condition for the degree of beet sweetness is to facilitate the delivery of the crop, indicating that the delivery of multi-embryo and high-productivity beet seeds that were imported is still continuing to farmers through the branches of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank to start directly cultivation and production. The quantities contracted to operate the Tal Salhab sugar factory.

Al-Ali expressed his hope that the contracts will be successfully tested, so that they can be used in the coming years to revive the cultivation of sugar beet and manufacture it locally through the factories and companies of the General Sugar Corporation.
