BMW vs. Audi: The eternal duel between the car manufacturers will probably never end.

Now the BMW M boss is kidding the competition - and the fans think it's funny.

Munich - The BMW-M boss Markus Flasch obviously has a lot of fist behind the ears.

He made fun of his competitor Audi with a cheeky Instagram post - and at the same time was promoting one of BMW's latest models.

One might think that the CEO would be in good hands on the marketing team as well.

BMW: CEO taunts Audi

But from the beginning.

In the photo, which Flasch shares with his 71,000 followers, you can see a bright blue BMW that appears to be parked in the middle of a sidewalk at Munich Airport.

The model is the brand new all-electric i4 M50.

So far so good.

But in the background there is a huge Audi advertising poster.

The well-known four Audi rings and the words: “Future is an attitude” are naturally pointing towards it.

Flasch leaves his post largely uncommented.

It only adds an emoji with a halo and the technical data for the BMW shown.

Fans celebrate the post of the BMW M boss

The BMW fans seem to understand the swipe at the competitor without big words.

Instagram users comment on things like: “Very provocative!” Or “What a rascal”.

One user even praises Flasch for his marketing talent and writes: "If the M boss does better advertising than the entire marketing department at BMW."

Of course, Audi does not want to refer to the new BMW E models with its new advertising slogan.

Rather, the slogan "Future is an attitude" is intended to make the new guiding principle and direction of the car manufacturer clear.

With their new campaign, the Ingolstadt-based company is focusing on its electric vehicles, such as the Audi e-tron.

But Audi is also focusing on sustainability and digitization with its new campaign.

The well-known claim “Vorsprung durch Technik” should, however, continue to exist.
