(CNN) -

The family of Tina O. Tintor, who died after her car was rear-ended by Las Vegas Raiders catcher Henry Ruggs III, issued a statement Thursday about her death.

Tintor's family attorney, Farhan Naqvi, said on her behalf that "Tina's tragic loss has devastated her family beyond pain they could never comprehend."

"Family was everything to Tina, and she was the light of her parents' life. Tina lived in Las Vegas since she was a baby," the statement said.

"She loved her 3-year-old golden retriever, Max, who died with her this Tuesday morning."

The statement called for privacy and said the family would not make any other statements at this time.

Ruggs' Chevrolet Corvette rear-ended Tintor's Toyota RAV4 early Tuesday.

Police and firefighters who came to the scene found Tintor's vehicle on fire.

She was found dead in her car, police said.

Prosecutors said Ruggs was driving recklessly at a speed of 251 km / h just 2.5 seconds before impact.

At the time of the deployment of the airbag, the registered speed of the vehicle was 204 km / h, according to the Prosecutor's Office.

Ruggs' blood alcohol level was 0.16, double the legal limit, according to prosecutors.

There was also a firearm in Ruggs's vehicle, prosecutors said.

Ruggs faces a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) resulting in substantial bodily harm and a reckless driving charge, according to the Clark County Detention Center website.

Prosecutors are also exploring possible charges for the weapon found in the car, Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson said.

Wolfson said in court that Ruggs could face a second felony DUI count for substantial injuries sustained by his girlfriend, who was a passenger in his car.

Ruggs was released from the detention center on Wednesday after posting a $ 150,000 bond, according to his attorney, David Z. Chesnoff.

The Raiders selected Ruggs in 2020 as the 12th pick in the first round, according to the NFL.

He was a wide receiver at the University of Alabama, where he finished his college career ranking third in
