The district of Miesbach still has the highest corona numbers in all of Germany. District Administrator Olaf von Löwis has now reacted - and introduced a special regulation.

The district of Miesbach still has the highest corona numbers in all of Germany.

District Administrator Olaf von Löwis has now reacted - and introduced a special regulation.

Miesbach - So now it’s going it alone: On Friday noon, the district office published a new general decree, which came into force an hour later.

The content is a little bit poorer than the urgency suggests.

District Administrator Olaf von Löwis did not wait for the new Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance on Friday and, in consultation with his Mühldorf official colleague Max Heimerl, issued a general decree that applies to the two districts most severely affected by the coronavirus nationwide.

Corona hotspot Miesbach: 2G rule from Saturday at all events

From 2 p.m. on the same day.

As a result, the 2G rule applies to “public and private events in non-private spaces”.

The ruling is only valid until midnight on Sunday.

Then the new legislation of the state government will be in force anyway, which provides stricter guidelines for regions with red hospital traffic lights at the local level.

Corona in Miesbach: District Office introduces 2-G rule for parties

Explaining what exactly is meant by these “public and private events in non-private rooms” is a difficult thing even for the district administration.

On request, it reports on so-called machine hall parties, such as those in Mühldorf.

It goes something like this: A boys' association or the like invites you to a party in an empty hall, anyone can come.

So it's about celebrations that, due to their size, can no longer be considered private. ”There are barn parties and the like in the Oberland too, but recently the District Office has not become aware of such activities.

2G rule in Miesbach: Church, culture, gastronomy and sport initially not affected

All other areas of public life (church, culture, sport) are left unaffected by the general decree of the two districts, including closed societies that come together to celebrate in the catering trade (e.g. weddings).

The new regulations of the state government apply here, in the gastro at a red light i.e. 3G plus (recovered, vaccinated or current PCR test), so the host does not switch to 2G (vaccinated, recovered).

Rising corona numbers in Miesbach: District Administrator emphasizes - "Now is the time to act"

District Administrator Olaf von Löwis is quoted in the press release as follows: “The numbers continue to rise every day, so we cannot wait for the Bavarian tightening.

2G therefore applies to all events with immediate effect.

It's a drastic step, but it doesn't help.

Now is the time to act. ”On Thursday, for example, the cultural centers in Miesbach and Holzkirchen canceled their major events until Sunday.

The same applies to the Leonhardi rides.

2-G for events: Special rule only applies until Sunday

After the district of Erding, which had advanced by general decree on Thursday (we reported), two more districts have now followed, albeit in a very manageable area.

As recently as Thursday, the Miesbach authority had said that going it alone would not lead to the goal.

Another nice side aspect: The reason for the decision is not part of the announcement.

It can be viewed during the general office hours of the District Office.

This period of service was already over when it was published on Friday, and the general decree expired on Monday.

Corona in Miesbach: Slightly fewer new infections on Friday

Meanwhile, the number of new infections in the district has decreased minimally.

There were 47 on Friday, 118 on the same day of the previous week.

The 7-day incidence is therefore likely to drop below 650.
