The police officers arrived and searched for Gloucester, Wan Chai. The victim was found when he was driving westbound, near a bush of grass next to Marsh Road. He was brandishing a jackknife. After the police verbally warned him to no avail, he tried to subdue himself with pepper spray and a baton. The victim killed himself with a jackknife and died instantly.


At the scene, a middle-aged man wearing a red shirt, lying on the side of the road, left a large pool of blood stains.

It is reported that after the man left King's Road, he once ran into Victoria Park with a knife and was witnessed by passers-by. The police then expanded the search area and lingered in nearby Shibo before the incident.

Police said the deceased was 32 years old and was an Irish national.

At the time of the incident, the police received a report from his family, stating that the victim was emotionally excited near Hing Fat Street in North Point, attempting to injure himself with a knife, and then left without knowing where he was. The victim was found at the junction of Dadao and Marsh Road. At that time, he was emotional and wielded an 8-inch-long folding knife. The police officer verbally warned him of no results. During the attempt to subdue him with pepper spray and truncheons, the victim injured himself with a folding knife and injured his neck. He fell to the ground with injuries and was certified dead at the scene.

The police seized the suicide note at the scene. It is believed that the victim was unhappy due to life problems. An autopsy will be conducted later to determine the cause of death.
