Just towards the end of last September, the demo of Konami's annual football game, Pro Evolution 2022 (which officially changed its name to eFootball) was released and received negative reviews and ridicule from players online mainly because of the graphic failures and technical glitches it presented.

Konami reports that the company is working hard on an update that will improve the bugs and glitches, and after postponing that long-awaited update from 28.10 to 11.11, it is now postponing it once again ... until spring 2022.

In the same apology, Konami announces that players who purchased packages in advance Premium game cards will receive a full refund immediately: "We announce that update 1.0.0 scheduled for November 11 will be postponed until spring 2022. We will make cancellations and immediate refunds to players who have purchased Premium packages in advance. We are working hard to provide the game experience "That comes to the players and the one they are expecting until next spring. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."

Beyond the graphical failures, the eFootball demo was released earlier this month and contained few game modes and restrictions on online gaming and it received negative reviews on the network and on the sets platform.

This year the brand has become a free game (Free to play) based on in-game purchases, and Konami have promised that this is an ongoing process, and as time goes on the company will add more content and more game modes.

So what happened this year and why the game in its current state?

A large part of the problems that were created this year stem from the fact that the game was moved to avoid a new game - Unreal of Epic (developing Fortniit), compared pes 2021 last year based on the game engine Fox of Konami, and is served and fiddled with the series since the Pro Evolution 2014.

Konami also ensured A full cross-platform between all platform and console players, including mobile players - such a move requires serious re-infrastructure work and is the one that has apparently created quite a few glitches and problems for the game this year.

Many hoped that the rebranded eFootball would compete in the market for the competing EA and FIFA, but it seems that with the size of the expectation, so does the size of the disappointment, and many players feel anger and frustration at Konami instead of taking the brand one step further - actually taking it back a few steps.

Konami's strategy is clear and ambitious: it wants to make the game free and allow full platform crossing between all players across all platforms - but it has not necessarily succeeded in the task and the bugs and graphics the game currently displays do not allow football players to enjoy the experience as they would like.

While the game has become free and players who download the game will not waste their money, and Konami took care to make refunds to those who did buy packages within the game, but in the end the initial impression did its thing, and the big question is whether it is too late and whether Konami could gamble on the horse Isn't it true that she chose to release eFootball in a situation where she did not resolve all the bugs and glitches?
