Market place good business: helpers plant 350 tree seedlings in Schliersee

In this case, the Miesbach district marketing company, the "Marktplatz Good Business" exchange market, was good business for nature - especially for the mountain forest.

- A total of 18 women and men were most recently in the Kreinsberger Alm / Lahnerkopf area in the mountains west of the Schliersee and planted a total of 350 tree saplings there.

In a way, it was a work of the century.

“It can take a good 100 years for the small seedlings to become large trees.

We learned that during the introduction, and something like that just sticks in your memory, ”reports Florian Kreidl, who works at the Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee, which was present with a delegation during the campaign.

A work of the century, so to speak

The mission was initiated by the Schliersee mountain rescue service.

She wanted to plant a tree for each of her an average of 250 missions per year and was looking for fellow campaigners in the “Good deals marketplace”.

She found what she was looking for at the Sparkasse, but also at the market town of Holzkirchen and the Bienenfreunde Oberland.

Forester Thomas Dietrich and Martha-Luise Holzner, the manager of the Josefstal forest district, explained the exact work steps and background information on sustainable forest management to the participants.

The four-year-old seedlings are made from the seeds of larch and fir trees in the region and were specially grown by the Schliersee forestry company.

The campaign aims to achieve sustainable forest work.

“We planted the little trees for the generations after us,” says Florian Kreidl.

As a thank you for their hard work, the Schliersee mountain rescue service will offer lectures on the subject of avalanche awareness or a nature conservation hike for the employees of the Kreissparkasse.

Companies, associations and non-profit organizations from the Miesbach district are supposed to come together at the “Good deals marketplace” in order to exchange benefits in kind or skills free of charge.
