Defendant Zhang Jianhong (59 years old), former editor-in-chief of "Apple Daily" Luo Weiguang (47 years old) and three companies: Apple Daily Co., Ltd., Apple Daily Printing Co., Ltd., and Apple Internet Co., Ltd., were charged with conspiracy to collude with foreign countries or harm by foreign forces National security crime.

But today only Zhang applied for bail to the High Court.

The charge alleges that they conspired with Li Zhiying and others in Hong Kong from July 1, 2020 to April 3, 2021 to request foreign or overseas institutions, organizations, and personnel to impose sanctions on Hong Kong or China , Blockade or take other hostile actions.
