Some communities have invited again this year - the others will probably wait until 2022

It is mandatory for municipalities to hold citizens' meetings - but Corona has ensured that this type of dialogue with citizens in some municipalities has been suspended for up to two and a half years. It is mandatory for municipalities to hold citizens' meetings - but Corona has ensured that this type of dialogue with citizens in some municipalities has been suspended for up to two and a half years. In the summer and autumn, some municipalities used the phase when the number of infections was low to answer questions from citizens again. Otherwise, there is probably no further citizens' meeting in the southern district this year.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

- Recently, some municipalities had moved to unusual places for their citizens' meeting: Bad Tölz, for example, to the mountain rescue center, Benediktbeuern to the fire station and Bad Heilbrunn to the gym.

Citizens' meetings were also held in Bichl, Lenggries, Königsdorf and Dietramszell.

In the other communities in the southern district, on the other hand, there has been no citizens' meeting since the outbreak of the corona pandemic.

Gaissach

In Gaißach, this date is traditionally at the beginning of December.

Last year, the relevant information from the community was instead published in a comprehensive brochure, also on the Internet.

In the meantime, the Gaißach municipal council has decided that the citizens' meeting will not take place this year due to the corona.

Greiling

In the administrative community of Reichersbeuern, Greiliung and Sachsenkam, it has already been decided to hold the meeting for 2021 by March 2022 at the latest and another meeting for the current year in autumn 2022.

"We have already thought of it this year, but the space in our community hall is simply limited," says Greilings Town Hall chief Anton Margreiter.

An open-air meeting was also under discussion.

"But what would we have done if it had rained?" Information for the citizens is currently available twice a year in the municipal newspaper "Dorfbote", "extensive with meeting minutes," says Margreiter.

"But you can also contact me or the administration at any time with questions."

Sachsenkam

Mayor Andreas Rammler intends to hold the meeting in Sachsenkam at the beginning of next year.

“The effort would not have been manageable outdoors,” he says of the deliberations in the local council.

He wants the event to take place in a form that “does not exclude anyone”.

It should also be an "exchange for the citizens" where they can chat and have something to eat and drink.

"If you can sit together with a mask and only for a limited time, that doesn't make sense to me," says Rammler.

He does not want to do it “just to go through with it”.

Reichersbeuern

The mayor of Reichersbeur, Ernst Dieckmann, also hopes that the corona situation will allow another citizens' meeting to be held in the usual setting in the "Altwirt" room in the first quarter of 2022.

For the time being, the people of Reichersbeur could find out about the data and facts of the community, which he would normally have presented to the citizens' meeting this year, in the “Gmoabladl”.

Since there is currently a current topic in which the citizens should be involved, the community has scheduled an information meeting at short notice on Friday, October 22nd, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

Then it's about village renewal.

Schlehdorf

An open-air gathering was also thought of in Schlehdorf.

"But it rained so much this year, and you have to meet certain deadlines for invitations," says Mayor Stefan Jocher.

In any case, there is a space problem because the hall in the "Klosterbräu" has been omitted.

"We are considering whether we can move to the ballroom in the old monastery." There is no catering there.

Citizens receive information from the town hall three times a year, which is also available on the Internet.

Jocher also says: "If you have any questions, you can contact me at any time."

Jachenau

The citizens' meeting in Jachenau is also canceled for the second year in a row.

Under the current conditions, Mayor Klaus Rauchberger would consider the implementation in the "Schüzenhaus" difficult - for example because of the control of the 3G rule.

“What do you do if someone refuses to show a vaccination or test certificate?” He wonders.

Instead, he is betting that the event can take place again at the traditional date at the beginning of March 2022.

Then he wants to present the annual reports for the years 2020 and 2021 together.

Wackersberg

Like Rauchberger, his Wackersberger is also waiting

Official colleague Jan Göhzold still on his first appearance as town hall chief at a citizens' meeting.

"Sure, there is no personal exchange - but that would be too hot for me at the moment," he says, referring to the Corona situation.

That is why he is working instead on a written statement of accounts for the years 2019 and 2020, which will soon be published online.

Kochel am See

“We're not back to normal yet, that's unfortunately the case,” says the mayor of Kochel am See, Thomas Holz.

Because the corona infection numbers in the district are currently "skyrocketing", he is no longer planning a citizens' meeting this year.

Experience has shown that 150 to 200 citizens come to the event in Kochel.

In the “home stage” one could not accommodate so many while observing the distances, “and there is not so much more space in the gym”.

But wood is in good spirits that the corona situation will relax again by spring.

According to the municipal ordinance, the municipalities are also obliged to make up for canceled citizens' meetings in 2021 by March 31, 2022 at the latest.

But it would not be the first time that Corona has thrown everything upside down.
