The church parliamentarians should actually have gathered in Bremen from Sunday to elect a new council chairman on Wednesday.
Bremen / Hanover - In an upstream committee meeting there was a breakthrough in vaccination, it said.
"We did not make the decision easy for ourselves and we regret this step very much, but see no other way to deal responsibly with the situation," said President Anna-Nicole Heinrich.
According to the information, the planned elections will also take place when the Synod is held digitally.
