This Azerbaijani aggression was devastating for Armenia. Turkey-backed Azerbaijan used phosphorus bombs (banned by conventions) and military combat drones that pulverized Armenian lines. It was Verdun versus Star Wars. Several thousand jihadists fought on the front line as mercenaries paid by Turkey. The death toll is 4,000, thousands of seriously handicapped wounded on the Armenian side. As Human Rights Watch has denounced, there are still dozens of prisoners of war in the hands of the Azeris who Baku is slowly releasing. The treatment of prisoners during the conflict, with videos of torture and humiliation, mutilation of corpses proudly posted on social networks, plunges the families of the missing soldiers
