On Saturday, President Joe Biden bragged about the late-night passage of an infrastructure bill worth $ 555 billion.
This important, albeit delayed, victory came after weeks of infighting within the party, which ended in chaotic last-minute negotiations.
Biden said he is confident that the $ 1.75 million security package will also be approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate.
In fact, he praised House Democrats for overcoming a procedural hurdle in that legislation, which will dramatically expand some government programs, such as those serving parents and children, and invest significantly in clean energy.

The benefits will not only have a direct impact on people's daily lives, but "will also help make the United States more competitive on a global scale," the president said.
