Today, Italy recorded 31 deaths related to the emerging coronavirus today, compared to 51 the day before, while it reported 6,764 new infections, the same number it recorded yesterday.
Reuters quoted the Italian Ministry of Health as saying that the total number of infections across the country amounted to 4,802,225, while the total deaths amounted to 132,365 cases.
The death toll in Italy from the emerging corona virus is the second highest in Europe after Britain, and the ninth highest in the world.
