The 24-year-old woman had had the cat for a long time when she finally moved in with her boyfriend, according to her post on Reddit.

He has never been particularly fond of her pet and has often made it clear that he would rather get rid of the animal.

Once he is even said to have asked if she really wanted to keep the cat.

"I told him that under no circumstances would I give her up," said the young cat owner.

However, she didn't take the question really seriously - until he moved in with her and realized how much he actually hates her cat.

In doing so, he crossed a clear line for the cat owner: she freaked out and threw her partner out of the apartment. But a short time later she doubted her harsh reaction. The couple then reconciled and got back together. The friend explained his behavior by saying that the pet made him feel less loved. Nevertheless, the young woman did not seem to let go of her partner's behavior towards the cat and after the incident she asked other users on the Reddit online platform for advice.

There she received clear feedback.

Most thought their reaction was appropriate and said they would have acted similarly.

This opened the young woman's eyes: only a short time later, the 24-year-old cat owner announced on her account that she had finally separated from her boyfriend.

The reason for this is not only his malicious behavior towards her cat, but that she has also made too many compromises in the relationship.
