Two days after the Biden administration announced the mandate that would require US companies with more than 100 workers to vaccinate against COVID-19, a federal appeals court blocked the order, citing "serious constitutional problems."
The decision comes after Republican leaders criticized the initiative and presented legal recourse against it arguing that it exceeded its authority, as explained by NBC News, the sister network of Noticias Telemundo.
Biden's proposal was due to take effect on January 4, 2022 and stipulated that those who did not get vaccinated had to undergo weekly tests and wear a mask.
Those who objected would be penalized.

The White House declined to comment on the ruling, referring the questions to the Labor Department, where spokesmen did not offer immediate reactions.
